3rd grader, Ty Virgil (Ca.) playing up in 4th – 5th grade division

My name is Ty Virgil and I am 4’11” and 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. I love The Lord, My family, School and Basketball. I live in Elk Grove California and attend Bradshaw Christiain Private School in Sacramento and have a 3.9 GPA. I play basketbiall for two teams: The Sacramento Yellow Jackets 9u and Elk Grove Capitols 10u. We have a special group of extremely talented players that all brings something unique and special on both teams. Our 9u team almost always play in 10u tournaments. We are 36 and 0 this season and have won 5 tournaments playing up 10u by a average of 30 points. We played one tournament at our age in the Portland Gymrats tournament. The Portland tournament was the most fun tournament so far for a few reasons. 1. My mom and little brother missed me and my dad so they surprised us and flew up to watch the tournament. 2. My dad brought me a some new Jordans and Lebrons! 3. I had a rough start to the tournament but stepped up big in the Championship game and we won the tournament. My 10u Elk Grove Capitols team mainly consist of 9u Yellow jackets players and we play up to 11u most of the time. Our record is 21 and 3 with 6 tournaments won at the 11u level and we win by a average of 20 points. Lately, I have been working with two of the best skills trainers on my handle packages and attacking off the pivot. I train with my mom and dad on my shooting. We will be playing in Oakland, Ca in April, Reno, Nevada in May and Los Angeles in June. We may go to Las vegas in July too. I’ve having a great time playing with my brothers on two basketball teams and am blessed to be able to be surrounded by such great players and coaches. We’ll that is it for now.
