6th Grader Chauncey Sterling Top Shooting Guard

Chauncey Sterling Attended 2011 MSE Basketball Camp in New York

While most middle school 6th graders might be home watching television or playing video games, Chauncey Sterling was at the Big East Rutgers Univerity Midnight Madness on Friday night.

Chauncey and his family were on campus to see older brother Elijah Carter, a top 150 player by ESPN, who attends Rutgers University. Carter was throwing down a few 360 dunks.

Chauncey’s other older brother, the outstanding 6’9″ Khalil plays for USF. Also on hand was long time family and friend Kyrie Irving 2011 #1 Draft Pick, who came to see Elijah.

Chauncey has a world of knowledge and good basketball IQ. More importanatly, Sterling know’s how to carry himself off-and-on court. Chauncey passes player’s up- he’s a phyical guard in mold of Deron Williams.

There’s no greater compliment that you can give a kid than to call him a “warrior” on the floor, and that’s Chauncey aka Warrior! He is a top prospect in the 6th grade class, playing for the varsity 8th grade at his school. The kid is tough as nails, plays tight defense and is just a winner performing every task his coach asks of him.

NBA player Jameer Nelson is Chauncey’s trainer. Nelson also works out Kemba Walker #9 pick, Tobias Harris #19 pick and Charles Jenkins #44 pick of the 2011 NBA draft.

Chauncey could be one of the finest physical guads to come out of New Jersy in a quite a while. He’a a team captain-type of player, who’ll run the show. He has a magical presence in his position- having two older brothers, Khalil and Elijah Carter, a product of Coah Bob Hurly of St. Anthony high shool in Jersey City, NJ.

Chauncey is at his best attacking the basket and looking to score around rim. He’s a terrific finisher, because of his strength and athleticsm. Chauncey is big and tall. He’s blessed with good size. Chauncey plays with enormous confidence and is a kid that’ll play a handful of positions at the next level.

For the coach that will get opportunity to coach Chauncey when he gets in high school/AAU, I hope your celluar phone will be fully charged on a daily basis, because college coaches will be ringing your phone off the hook.

MSE Third Grader Josiah Mobley (OH)

2012 MSE National Basektball Camp Indiana

4’11″ Josiah Mobley, a third grader from Ohio turned nine years old october 7th.

Josiah’s dad, Mr. Mobley told us his son “plays up two to three grades and doesn’t show fear.”

As Josiah prepares to face No.1 Seth Wilson at the 2012 MSE national camp in Indiana, he will have to battle other tough competitors his grade.

Josiah has good IQ and basketball skills to go with his package. Josiah also has “great court awareness,” Mr. Mobley finished.

Second Grade Key’Shawn Cain Is Key to Class

2nd & 3rd Graders Heat Up 2012 MSE National Basketball Camp in Indiana

Key’Shawn Cain is a talented eight year old second grader at Mill Creek Leadership Academy in Louisville, KY.

He’s a 4’7″ shooting guard with a Dwyane Wade obsession. He excels at shooting the jumper and being one of the quickest players on the floor.

Cain plays not only with second graders, but also 3rd and 4th graders. Cain’s dad, William say’s “my son proves he can handle himself among the big boys.”

“This past season he was starting quarterback for his Mighty Mite football team, ” William told us. Cain led them to the championship game, where they were runners up. Cain was chosen as Homecoming King.

Cain is a leader -on-and-off the court, acting as “student ambassador” in both first and second grade. “Key’Shawn has received the honor roll ‘All Year’ Award each year that he’s been in school,” Mr. Cain said.

To Key’Shawn’s parent’s delight, “Cain is in short a bright, well rounded kid that loves school and sports.”
