Bottom line is the competition was top notch and kids had a world of fun.  However, MSE got a good look at the campers and there were truly some special talent in attendance.

“It felt like I was on another planet,” 9th grader Isaiah Whitehead (NY) said, because his teammates were mostly from different states.  Whitehead used a full arsenal to protect his turf.

New face 6th grader, Alonzo Verge (IL) 5-6 emerged as a crowd favorite at camp.  The rebounding guard gave several New Yorkers a scare.

Featured 5th grader, Jordan Simmons who’s also from Chicago was extremely impressive; a deadly but silent assassin.  He displayed the best perimeter shot form in a game.

Kyree Banks, 4th grader from Clinton, MD showed his worth in the point guard position. He sees the floor well and is patient with the rock.  Remember the name.  Mr. Banks told us “The camp had some bumps but you made the adjustments from day one to two” and ” The next one will be better.”

“We had an incredible experience playing in NYC.  We learned about how other regions play.  I’m glad to say we are right on schedule for where we want to be and coming to MSE confirmed that to our team.  Hope to see you again at next years camp!” said Mr. Hudson father of 8th grader Chad Hudson from Louisville, Kentucky.

Kajuan Johnson 7th grader from Louisiana said, “I had one of the best times of my life” and his pops Mr. Johnson said, “We enjoyed the camp being that it was our first one and also the people up there were cool and I would like to use your camp as a stepping stone for my son to get into other venues.”

This is getting a bit ridiculous Kajuan Johnson seems to hold himself back practically every school year…he was a 7th grader last year and the year before…Someone really needs to check into this cause this is just frankly a form of cheating …jumping from class to class…Has he or his family ever heard of education than ball or do they do anything in their power to make sure there son is a top ranked prospect…

Kejuan Johnson is in eighth grade that kid is a different person. Kejuan never got held back, or maybe got held back once in grade school before anyone knew him. Hes to popular now to want to get held back.

I agree with mystery man, this so called “Elite” camps should be requesting birth certificates and report cards. It is cheating pure and simple and a slap to the face of hardworking student athletes. These parents should be ashamed with themselves, what values are you trying to teach your child? But you know what? Its all evens out in the end, count on that…….

Its like you learn my mind! You appear to understand a lot about this, like you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you could do with some p.c. to drive the message house a bit, but instead of that, that is great blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
