“Amid a symphony of bouncing basketballs and squeaking sneakers, hundreds of middle school-aged players from across the country gathered in the Bronx last weekend for a single reason: to show what they are made of.
The ballers traveled to Fordham University to participate in the Middle School Elite, a new basketball camp and showcase, in hopes of improving their skill set and becoming the next high school phenom.
They participated in a combination of drills, conditioning exercises, half-court and full-court games over two days as coaches looked to help them polish their skills.
“This is the first time nationally that all these middle school (basketball players) have come together here in New York City,” said Sean Couch, a camp coach. “The kids had an opportunity to play against one another, as well as conditioning and how to perform under duress, which is going to be important for them moving forward.” Click Here to Read More.
