Nine Year Old Samuel Scott Is Banneker King

Best Point Guard?

Samuel Scott

MSE has photo’s and breakdowns of each player who attended the MSE Maryland Mania Camp. Samuel Scott didn’t go unnoticed under the watchful eye of MSE staff. And, the facts is Scott was indeed a top five player at camp and probably the purest point guard his age group. So, why’s  Scott number thirteen for our camp rankings? We naturally allowed the cream to rise to the top. Also, it was our first time having an opportunity to meet and watch talented Scott in action. We’d like to see him again for a more in-depth evaluation. What we can say is Scott has a high IQ for the game and plays mature, as if his fathers a coach. He has excellent ball handle and does a terrific job of finding open teammates. He’s jet quick and uses his shoulders to put defenders on his hip. He has a sweet three point stroke. He also has a consistent floater in lane, which he uses before the post interior defense collapses on him. He can even get to the rim at will. However, he’s a pass first ‘point guard’, who emphasizes ‘team first by sacrificing his scoring ability to get other player’s involved. Lastly, we give Scott the newly No. six rank at MSE Maryland Mania camp. Continue to dedicate your game to helping players get better for their own good and you’ll be considered one of the best “PG’s” to ever play the game in middle school.

I herd it was a article on here about this kid. I had to come give him a shoutout. My son attended the Back 2 Basics middle school camp in Baltimore yesterday. This kid was the smallest in the building not to mention the only elementary school student and he put on a show leaving with a nice big 6th grade MVP trophy. His handle and court vision is crazy. I left my sons 7th grade game to see what all the ow and aw was about and I found out. I think Baltimore has found its new “Crime Stopper”
