Soldier Ortiz

Class-of-2023, Gerardo Ortiz III, from Flordia, has no fear on the court. He’s a shifty guard that can cut to the basket to draw the defense, then dish the ball to a teammate for an assured score. He works to improve his offensive tenacity.

Ortiz is a 5th grade honor student at Green Acres Elementary School in Florida.

Playing this basketball season on South Florid Knights, Ortiz was recognized as MVP of the USBA Florida State Tourney, and was a member of the USBA championship team. He participated in his team’s victory at the Nola Super60 5th Grade Championship.

When not hooping, Ortiz relaxes with friends and plays video games.

Ortiz wants to attend Duke University and be a team leader for the powerhouse, Blue Devils.
