Say Her Name 

Riya Khanal is an emerging basketball player from Colorado who is entering 7th grade at Rocky Heights Middle School. Standing at 5’8”, Riya brings a strong presence on the court with her size, athletic ability, and passion for the game. She continues to develop as a versatile player who can impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Riya plays competitive club basketball for Colorado GRIT Hoops, where she continues to challenge herself against top competition and grow as a player. Known as a two-way guard, Riya combines defensive intensity, rebounding ability, scoring skills, and strong basketball instincts to make an impact in multiple areas of the game.

Her strengths include using her length and athleticism to defend, create opportunities for teammates, and attack the basket. Riya is a determined competitor who continues to work on improving her shooting, ball handling, and overall basketball IQ while embracing the team-first mentality.

Off the court, Riya is a dedicated student-athlete who balances academics, training, and competition. With her work ethic, love for basketball, and commitment to growth, she is excited for the next chapter of her basketball journey and continuing to develop as a player in Colorado’s competitive basketball community.
