Class of 2022, Jeremiah Johnsonfrom Oklahoma is making plenty of noise at top showcases on the East and West coast.Last year, he performed exceptional at the Middle School Elite Texas Camp where he made the All-Star team.
He ranked in the top 10 among campers — as a rising 5th grader at the John Lucas Future of the Game camp (East) in Hampton, Virginia. Afterward, Johnson attended the John Lucas Future of the Game camp (West) in Las Vegas and finished in the top five overall.
So how talented is Johnson?
Many people consider Johnson one of the top point guards nationally for class-of-2022. Moreover, Oklahomans believe he’s the #1 player in the state of Oklahoma.
Here’s our exclusive thoughts on his game.
Energetic Johnson hustles to get back on defense whenever the opposition is in transition. He’s a two dimensional player; he plays defense and offense. On the perimeter he jab steps before launching threes from deep. He lands treys with a hand in his face. He drives low to the rim, finishing smooth lay ups with defenders draped around him. No doubt he’s a prolific scorer and academic achiever. We predict Johnson will make it far if he maintains focus.
