Big Bully Singleton
Fifth grade hooper, Demarcus Singleton has an intimidating built, and he’s one of Houma, Louisiana’s most well-known athletes. For the New Orleans Bitty football league, he was an All-American for three years in a row. Singleton’s dual talent gives players a different aspect of skill, discipline and physicality to battle.
His AAU basketball coach says “he just has the heart of a lion” and “when his team is in need of steals, rebounds, points, blocks, anything, you can count on him.”
Singleton is a relatively unknown player because his team is a second year program. They recently began playing top-rated programs. And when Big Bully’s in action he uses a wicked double-crossover to get in the lane, where 9 out of 10 times he scores or reaches the free-throw line. He’s strong and strives for hard body contact as if a game of equipment football.
His coach says “Big Bully” is the most athletic player that he’s seen in town. Supposedly, Singleton is one of the few players to challenge Christopher Lockett. As far as stats, Singleton averages 16 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Plus he throws down in the classroom.
“He’s a clutch shooter who will knock it down.”
