Washington is Elite
Class-of-2024, Jaylen Washington from Texas is a top notch player on the circuit. He’s an exceptional A & B student-athlete at Universal Academy.
The talented fourth-grade Texan is an elite ball handler with a high basketball IQ. He’s quick, savvy and athletic. Size is often an issue for him when playing against older competition. Otherwise, he dominates players his age group. He plays a fast pace game, which college scouts and coaches adore.
Five-on-five, Texas Xpress Elite team finished 6th place at AAU Nationals. They knocked off ASAP (Jerry Easter) and J3 Elite. The Xpress squad had only seven players.
– However, Washington’s organization recently merged with Moe Williams Gulf Coast Blue Chips so expect a stacked roster at the USBA Nationals this week in North Carolina –
Washington made the All-Star game and was MVP at a recent elite showcase. He also led his team to the Elite 8 at Super 60 in New Orleans, and won MVP at the Showtime Showdown Tournament in Dallas, Texas.
No wonder why ambidextrous washington is advanced. His dad says, “Jaylen is in the gym everyday working out. The first thing he wants to do is work out when he comes home from school.”
