Hotshot Montez

Nevada prodigy sixth-grade, Montez Simmons, attends Slam Academy, where he loves math and science and knows school is just as important as basketball.

“He utilizes the time after school and before practice to read or work on school projects.”

Alpine point-guard Montez is compassionate, fun-loving and an animal lover.

A coach says of Montez, a tall rebounding machine: “he is developing well and he will be a force to be reckoned with.”

6th grade Simmons yet favors a college, but he wants to be a veterinarian.
