2026/6th-grade Joshua Powell (NY) does it all from handling the rock, finishing around the rim, defending the paint, to fluctuating at five positions as a center.

And he runs with The Ivy Lions, a distinguished greater New York area team.

While homeschooled, resourceful Joshua averages a 90 grade and has earned Honor Roll.

6’1” Powell projects to grow 6’5” hinged on his 6’3” dad’s and 6’0” mum’s genes.

Joshua’s parents break down how their all-around son balances both basketball and books.

“By him waking up early in the morning to work out… then he does his homeschool… then after homeschool he does his homework… then he goes to the gym to workout… then he goes home and study.”

Josh’s dream college is The University of Duke, and his career goals are playing in the NBA and establishing his own company’s brand.

“He has a desire to win and he is a team player.”
