His Every Move Looks Amazing

We conducted an exclusive interview with class-of-2024 Cameron Mercadel, a sedulous 5’11” fourteen-year-old student-athlete residing in California.

He featured on Whistle Sports: “No Days Off”, whose below YouTube video collected 1M views so far.

Nationally, Mercadel ranks no. 2, and no. 1 as a point guard.

MSE: What middle school did you attend?

Cameron: I attended Liberty University online.

MSE: What high school are you going to?

Cameron: Because of COV-19 I might do homeschool.

MSE: What inspired you to pursue basketball?

Cameron: My mom and dad played college basketball, so I was born to play the sport.

MSE: What college program best fits your style of play?

Cameron: A college that pushes the tempo on offense and defense.

MSE: Which skill did you improve?

Cameron: Reading the defense and knowing when to attack to set up teammates.

MSE: Which skill needs improvement?

Cameron: I’m learning how to use my body to create scoring opportunities for teammates.

MSE: Have you encountered any sport or academic difficulty?

Cameron: I took Algebra this past year and in the beginning it was a tough road. I struggled in the beginning but pulled it together to come out with a 3.5 GPA.

MSE: How did you overcome that obstacle?

Cameron: I did it by hard work, dedication, and learning how to communicate with my teacher directly.

MSE: What is your future career goal?

Cameron: My goal is to graduate college and play at the highest level possible. I also want to own an NBA team.

MSE: What are some of the toughest showcases you participated?

Cameron: John Lucas Camp, CP3 Camp, and Adidas Presidents Day Tournament in Portland Oregon.

MSE: What should your followers know about you?

Cameron: It’s more than just basketball. It’s about a strong faith in Jesus Christ and knowing that I can accomplish all things with God on my side. Having character, academics and talent is huge and I have all 3.
