Swagger for Days
Daylan Wilks of Flat Rock, Alabama, a platinum shooting-guard, represents class-of-2032, loaded and talented.
Some of his advantages are three-point competence, ball-handling, agility, defense, court-vision and composure under pressure.
He’s intensified absorbing rough body contact in tight lanes and finishing tough baskets over draping defenders.
Size isn’t an issue either despite a compact stature, which succumbs to his amicable albeit implacable character.
His reflexive step-back jumper and intensive man-to-man have improved; the dribble drive and draw contact to create separation has sped up.
School-wise, he garners straight A’s at North Sand Mountain School.
There’s more to the story besides high-achieving grades and high-IQ basketball for a valued scholar-baller entrenched in sports his complete life.
Come to learn “his parents and older siblings have always played every sport.” Hence, Wilks recreates in basketball, baseball and football.
“He’s drawn to basketball because of the speed of the game and nonstop action,” Wilk’s dad combined various competitions to build strength/power too.
Daylan’s 2022 AAU circuit travel schedule includes exposure camps and tournaments across the South, east coast and mid-west in localities such as Dallas, New Orleans, Miami, Kentucky, Ohio and the Carolinas.
